Wakakuu is the nordic leading platform for luxury fashion, connecting brands, and consumers.

Back in 2011, the founders of Wakakuu had an idea, a name and ambitious vision of becoming Scandinavias leading online destination for luxurious fashion. A rare opportunity to create a brand from scratch, conceptualize and design a brand experience that is both bold and stands out in a crowded space. 

My assignment was to develop the brand strategy and facilitate the brand creation journey with the founders and stakeholders through the creative process from an idea to a tangible concept and communication covering all the aspects from brand platform, visual identity,  e-commerce and communication to create  the right conditions and foundation to create a bold and exclusive brand experience.

To create the brand experience we developed a launch campaign, marketing strategy, and a brand platform with a complete visual guideline.

Brand Identity

Wakakuu is not just another e-commerce, it should feel like a luxurious fashion brand worthy to carry the most exclusive brands

The center-piece of the brand identity was the custom-made typeface Wakakuu Grotesk, a sans serif that was designed to be an identifier and eye-catcher.

Our brief was to design and create a memorable experience that stands out, has the highest fashion appeal, and challenges the norm of what e-commerce can or should be.
