In the wake of 2011, Scania, a global leader in the manufacture of trucks, buses, and powertrains, embarked on a transformative journey towards becoming a comprehensive provider of transport solutions. This shift, aimed at embracing servitization, autonomous driving, and electrification, required a profound reimagining of Scania's approach to design and communication. Daniel Kvist played a pivotal role in this transition, leading the digital transformation efforts to conceptualize and implement Scania's North Star vision across its digital ecosystem.

Challenge

As Scania ventured into the new age of mobility solutions, the challenge was to develop a strategic design and visual communication framework that would not only align with its ambitious vision but also inspire visionary leadership within the organization. The goal was to progressively embed this new design strategy and visual identity across all digital touchpoints, ensuring a seamless and cohesive brand experience.

  • To establish a strategic design framework that supports Scania’s transition from a product manufacturer to a solution provider, embodying the principles of customer-centricity and innovation.

  • To develop and implement a new digital design concept, including the creation of a centralized design system that ensures consistency, repeatability, and scalability across all digital touchpoints.

  • To inspire and guide Scania through the digital transformation process, fostering a culture of visionary leadership and strategic thinking within the organization.
